A Tent of Meeting
A tent is a temporary and transitory meeting place, emphasizing the missionary calling of the ICC people, who travel to meet in different parts of the world, seeking the Lord together and inviting members of local Christian communities to join them in their commitment to Renewal, Unity and Evangelisation in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our tent is a place of Prayer, where we come together before the Lord in repentance, praise, worship and intercession, seeking reconciliation, holiness, and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and his gifts for service and ministry.
It is a place of Prophecy, where we seek the Lord’s face, listen to his voice, and ask him to reveal more of himself and his purposes to us.
Our tent is a place of Unity, where we gather with members of local Christian communities, accepting and affirming one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, praying and working together to forgive and heal the hurts and divisions of the past. This coming together is a prophetic statement about our commitment to each other and to our vision.
Our tent is a place of Fellowship, where we meet in diversity but as equals, giving a visible witness to our mutual respect and loving relationships, and in order to consult, enjoy each other’s company, and offer encouragement and support. It is a place of Poverty and Humility, where rich and poor come as one before the Lord, seeking to share their gifts and resources for his purposes, and to learn from one another.
Our ICC tent is a place of Proclamation, where we together announce and give visible witness to the message of Jesus, inviting others to join us in calling all men and women to accept him as Lord and Saviour.
